Sole Developer | Torque X CEV | 2010

In-between sending my resume out to various games companies after graduating in 2010, I decided to keep busy and work on a small 2D platformer inspired from games like Another World and Flashback. It focused on storytelling and physics inspired puzzles.

It was developed using the Torque X CEV (Community Enhanced Version) game engine, written for the XNA framework. Unfortunately the Torque X game engine was retired and the videos below are for posterity.

  • Designed original concept for the game
  • Designed and scripted prototype game play system with a narrative focus
  • Scripted all game play events – triggers, narrative events and puzzles – using Torques XML and trigger system
  • Created all artwork
